Wow.

I recently found a new blog that I absolutely love.
It's called elm street life.
I was going back through old posts and came across this video:

In the words of my grandfather "That little turkey gets the job done doesn't he?"

Needless to say, I thought it was pretty cool as well.

25 is the Magic Number

I had this as a facebook note a while back, but I recently found it again and thought it's be a nice little "get to know you" for the blog. There are 25 random facts, so I'll post them 5 at a time so the interweb is not overwhelmed by the absurd randomness of my life and personality. So here it goes....

1. I love coffee. If you didn't know this, you are probably not my friend. It is my addiction and obsession and honestly what gets me out of bed in the morning. People who add all the creme/milk/sugar/coffeemate/syrup nonsense are posers. Instant coffee=sacrilege.

2. I’m basically 80 years old. I love to knit, bake, clean, and read to small children. My back starts to hurt if I stand up too long, I'm currently contemplating glucosamine supplement for my knee pain, and I’m pretty sure I’ll need a hip replacement before I’m 40. If that doesn’t remind you of your grandmother, I don’t know what will.

(I was tagged in this picture on facebook. You can check my profile, I am not kidding)

3. I really like wintergreen Altoids. I then keep the tins and put things like earrings, change, and bobby pins in them.

4. I laugh a lot. Like, a lot a lot. And most of the time it’s at really silly things. Like myself, and the Disney channel. But I laugh anyways. I’m told it’s contagious.

5. Sarcasm is what I do. I have a true appreciation for those with the driest of humor. Though I've found that it doesn’t work too well via text . . . Sorry friends.

Look at these!

While I am very thankful that I finally got to the optometrist last semester, my new-ish Costco glasses hurt my ears.

And they're sorta bedazzled on the sides...
I tried to cut the glimmer with various combinations of paint pens and Sharpies.
But alas, they shimmer on...

So I found this place - Warby Parker

All of their frames are $95, and that includes your prescription and shipping!

There is a virtual "Try-on" tool on the site - It's really legit - surprisingly realistic. Not like those "make me over", "try on this hairstyle" sites that are significantly less than accurate,
and make you look like a character from the mind of Jim Henson.

And if that's not good enough for you, they'll send you 5 frames to try on at home. So you can show your Mom, Brother, Boyfriend, goldfish etc.

The 5 that I would choose?

aaaand

Oh if only I had the funds... Someday Warby Parker, Someday.

I miss it already.

I just had the most amazing experience.

In ENGLAND,

The Lake District

Lancaster

and The Isle of Man

I made some wonderful new friends,

and spent long awaited time with old ones.

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking,

no matter where we went,

it was incredibly stunning.

I miss it so much, and I can't wait to go back.

Loving this right now

Sums up a lot of how I feel about Camp and my summers there.
No matter what the summers have brought, experiences both good and bad, the memories of that place and the rivers and waters there will always be fond.
