Hey Guess What...

I GRADUATED!

I am so incredibly thankful to the friends and family who have got me through the past 4 years

(Poppa came for the pinning ceremony!)

Although the NCLEX is rather daunting, I am VERY excited about my future career as a nurse
(Future Oncology Nurses!)

Oh, and I also went to Ethiopia in my spare time...
(More on that [and these precious children] a little later)

Tis so sweet

Dear Mr. Chocolate bunny crisp,
You may be creepy, but you sure are tasty.

Dear Mr. Marshmallow chick/duck/bird,
Sorry I ate your head, but you were even creepier than the bunny.

Dear Delicious malted milk chocolate eggs,
You have served well as lunch the past few days, but you're not quite as sweet as the real meaning of Easter.

Happy Friday!

I'm absolutely in love with this weather. There's not much that makes me happier than springtime and all of the wonderful things it brings: tulips, daffodils, leaves on trees, sunny days, end of clinicals, happy times with friends, the return of watermelon, and driving with the windows down. It all makes me SO happy.

Here's some happy, springy, friday music.

[beats Rebecca Black if you ask me]

Oh my...

I just spent the last 10 minutes ooh-ing and ahh-ing (and occasionally squealing) at the sight of these incredibly precious/amazing/adorable/essential coffee mugs over at Anthropologie

and my favorite:
(it's too cute for words)

I didn't think there was anything that could make me love coffee more than I already do. But I think I just found it.

Whew.

The past few weeks have felt like a blur!
So many wonderful things have been happening in my life and I want to share them!
New friends, missions opportunities, music, places, the list goes on and on!
I will soon have the time to do so, but until then, I leave you with the sweet song I've added to my "car" playlist.
It's just one of those driving songs you know? I probably spend 25+ hours in my car (affectionately known as Jane Honda) per week, so I love finding new music/sermons/podcasts to keep me entertained.
Enjoy!

Magic Number pt III

11. The Office = Life (I could now possibly change this to Jim+Pam = life? But that may be a tad excessive and/or obsessive [needless to say, I'm a very big fan])

12. I love to dance. Any kind, any time, anywhere.
Bahaha oldie but a goodie. Hooray for competitive Irish dancing

13. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.

Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Galatians 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

14. I have no hand-eye coordination. Therefore I'm terrible at most (or maybe all) sports.
(Thus the previously stated Irish dancing stint. I do however LOVE running.)

15. High school musical 1, 2, and 3 and Two Hannah Montana CDs are on my iPod. I am not ashamed.
(While they are no longer on my iPod (or iPhone rather), I still have no guilt in my enjoyment of the shows/movies.

25 is the Magic Number Part II

6. My mom is awesome. I don’t know what I would do without her. She’s always there for me even when I do stupid things or act/think irrationally. She’s the best.

(Mom, it's kind of pathetic that this was the only picture of the two of us on my computer. I think we need more pictures together)

7. I wasn’t allowed to trick-or-treat until the 10th grade, which I’m told is when you’re supposed to stop trick-or-treating.

(Fortunately, I was able to partake in some age appropriate Halloween/Fall activities this year with some pretty awesome people)

8. I love camping, canoeing, and hiking. The experiences you have when you simplify your life are eye-opening. Being able to live in the middle of nowhere, relying solely on those around you and the few things you are able to carry is incredibly empowering.

9. I didn’t really sleep in 7th grade, so I memorized infomercials.

(Yes George Foreman, I'm looking at you)

10. I like when information in one class overlaps with another. For instance, the only reason I can understand a word of my nutrition professor is because of my anatomy professor. And it gets even better when you can apply it to things around you. Even if it’s just an episode of House or ER. <------ I wrote this a while back, but it still holds true today. I feel that now i'm in nursing school (and will be graduating in May [Hallelujah]) this is even more true. Except now I'm learning and actually putting it directly into practice. Foley catheter anyone?

(Some unlucky fellow had a 14 gauge placed in clinical yesterday. Sorry 'bout it! Really actually I am. I can't imagine having one. They seem terribly uncomfortable.)
